Temporary Closed
Please stay tuned for updates
As you all know, Camp Olympics has been continuing to try to plan as if we will be able to run our program. We have been very vocal in stating that there is uncertainty, as things are continually changing, and that we hope that you all understand that our number one concern is the health and safety of all of the participants and staff.
It is with great sadness that we must announce that we will not be opening in July. At this time, our building is closed; but if our building opens in stage 3, we will be advised of the restrictions, and from there, we will re-evaluate our Camp Olympics situation. Please note that first and foremost, the safety of our participants and staff will be priority. At this time, opening without a building isn’t feasible either. As a staff, we have been brainstorming scenarios and ways to make Camp Olympics work, but with the current provincial protocols for camps, it is just not feasible (program-wise and financially). As an extremely active camp, we are always on the go; through cooperative games, sport, biking, and swimming, the current restrictions do not allow for these activities. As a staff, we are so truly disappointed. Camp Olympics is just as much fun for us, as it is for all of your children. With every passing day (as we learn more about the virus and develop vaccines), we can only hope that restrictions will change, and there will be a possibility of opening in August. *Fingers crossed.* In the meantime, stay safe! ❤
