Camp Information
This camp is for FUN!!! FFF-UUUUU-NNNNNN!!!!!
WE WANT TO SEE LOTS OF SMILES AND HEAR LOTS OF GIGGLES!!!
Abilities and skill levels are NOT crucial, as we want to put more emphasis on improving and making friends. We want to offer a GREAT alternative to daycare or a babysitter. Our camp will keep your children busy, and out of trouble! We will have breaks throughout the day, so as your children do not become worn out, and it stays FUN!
Campers will be required to bring their own lunches, snacks, and drinks each day. Please remember that our bodies temperature regulation is controlled by water. If you do not have sufficient amounts of water in your body, cooling can not take place. This is so important to us during the summer months. Please send your child with a water bottle, as it is recommended that you drink 8 to 10 (8 ounce) glasses of water every day. But when you are exposed to the heat and during exercise sessions (which we will be) you should increase that amount to adequately hydrate yourself and regulate body temperature.
With the seriousness of allergies today, our camp is a peanut- free environment, so please send your children with lunches and snacks that do NOT contain peanuts.
Parents will be required to sign their children "in" when dropping them off, and parents will be required to sign their children "out" when picking them up.
Our camp consists of 6 to 8 athletes per instructor. All instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR, as well as a Sport Coaching Level. We also have lifeguards on our staff. Police record checks are also required for all staff.
We look forward to an EXCITING summer with ALL of YOU!!
Healthy Lifestyles: Staying Active
Physical activity is an important aspect of life, and this is a great way for children to meet others, stay active, and stay busy!
Sadly, the number of Canadians who are overweight and/or obese has increased significantly over the past 25 years. Over these years we are witnessing an alarming rise in the proportion of overweight and obese children. It is an issue that affects children everywhere in Canada - across the country and across diverse populations. Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is important to reduce the risk of those diseases and improve overall health.
